0 BYOD?

Do you know what BYOD stands for?  By the end of class today you will. For the next few weeks, you will be working with a partner to create an interview podcast either supporting or opposing BYOD.

Let's start class today by watching this interesting video from CNN

I would like you to check out the two articles below taking different positions on BYOD
“BYOD Worst Idea of the 21st Century"
“The Open Classroom: Bring Your Own Device.”

Before you start developing your interview questions, take a look at the resources below

Hello, I hope you all enjoyed your long weekend! Before we head into our next topic of Podcasting, I would like to spend today's class reviewing comments, and give you all a chance to comment on a classmate's blog. Let's start by watching the video below, "Manage Comments on your Blog," from Blogger Help

Next, we will go into the comment settings as a class, check and make changes.  Once we have our settings, please take the link below to a shared document I created.  Here you will post your first name, last initial and the link to your blog.
Miss Sweeney's Student Blog Doc  (You will take a link from this doc to leave comments on a classmate's blog)

Before you start commenting, please take a look at this blog post below for some sentence starter ideas.

After all the work you have been doing, creating blog guidelines, commenting guidelines, your first post, it must be a relief to know you are finally creating your blogs. Please follow the checklist below to accomplish your goals for the week. If I have not approved something for you to publish, open a new tab, go to your blog and work on the design and widgets while you are waiting for me to check your work on the other tab. There are links and resources below the checklist, please use them and ask a neighbor if you need help. Hang on to your checklist, check each goal off when it has been completed and turn it into me at the end of your second class this week.  Good luck, I can't wait to see all of your blogs!
